Project Summary

The aim of the research is to determine the profile of tourists who visit Chania, emphasizing consumer behaviour, service satisfaction and the impact of the economic crisis on their purchase power. The survey was mainly based on primary data collected through a large number of questionnaires (40000 conducted at the airport of Chania.That research is expected to make great contribution to the Perfecture of Chania and to the local society (entepreneurs, authorities, stakeholders, etc) involved in the tourism industry in finding out the real needs of the local market, suggesting at the same time solutions and proposals for improving the local products and services offered to tourists from different nationalities.
